You have everything in place to get referrals to Marketing Pond. Let’s recap:
Splash Page
You have a splash page created so that you can send people to the splash page instead of directly to the Marketing Pond website. This will increase your conversion rate by catching people’s attention and making them curious about Marketing Pond.
Traffic Exchanges
You’ve setup your traffic exchanges to point to your splash page, so that when other members of the exchange view your page they’re seeing the splash page. This exposes your splash page to lots of people.
Start Page Rotator
You have your start page set to a rotator that cycles through the traffic exchange surf pages. This builds credits in all the traffic exchanges, as you go through your day normally opening up your web browser.
Assign Credits
Some of the traffic exchanges automatically show your splash page any time you have credits available (Traffic Swarm, Clicks Matrix). Other exchanges require that you assign credits to your splash page to get it to show (Traffic Roundup, Surf to Success, TS25).
For those exchanges that require you to assign credits, go in once a week and assign all the credits you’ve built up to your splash page.
Convert Earnings to Advertising
Some of the other programs allow you to convert your earnings to advertising. Clix Sense, for example, allows this. Think for a moment about the type of person who is click ads to earn money at Clix Sense. They’re looking for a way to earn money online for free, which is just the opportunity Marketing Pond provides. So advertising at Clix Sense and the other paid to read sites can get your splash page seen by just the sort of people who would be interested.
Always figure out the cost per person when you’re trying to decide where to advertise. Clix Sense is very good, at a cost of $.012 per person (the 1 cent the member will get for viewing your splash page, and the .2 cent Clix Sense makes). AdBux isn’t so great, at $.034 per person. Sites vary widely in their advertising costs, so make sure you know what they are before advertising.
When sites allow some sort of targeting of your advertisements, don’t both targeting by interest. Everyone selects all the interests anyway to have as many ads to click as possible. Targeting by geographical location can be very effective. Targeting by gender can also be good, especially if you word the ad for the gender you’re targeting (or perhaps have male and female versions of your splash pages).
Don’t convert all your earnings to advertising (you need to get a payout now and then to keep yourself motivated), but convert enough to ensure you get a regular stream of referrals.
Other Places to Advertise
Find forums that allow links in your signature and become a member. Don’t promote your splash page link, just become a valuable member of the forum and people will naturally click through to see your page.
You don’t have to target forums about making money online, either. Free money programs appeal to many different audiences. A forum for stay at home moms might be good, as they can always use extra money. A forum for disabled people might be good, since many of them are unable to work in other ways. Use your creativity to find forums that are not already overloaded with business opportunities.
You can also place your splash page link in various free classified ads online.
Print up business cards with your splash page URL on them and some appropriate text, such as “Learn How to Make Free Money Online”. Put them on community bulletin boards at local grocery stores, restaurants, community centers, etc. Leave them on restaurant tables when you leave. Leave one in a library book when you return it. Teach a course at your local adult ed center on how to make free money online (it’s generally free to teach these sorts of courses). You can walk them through making their first $30 in Inbox Dollars by using the post from my blog. Show them AdBux. Once they’re interested, pitch Marketing Pond to them as a way to maximize their income by getting referrals in lots of programs at once.
