Online Opportunity: How To Make Money Online

Marketing Pond: Develop a Plan of Attack

Marketing Pond can be quite confusing, since it has so many programs. Combine that with some of the programs being money making programs and some being traffic generation programs, and all working just a bit differently, and it makes it tough to get started.

Luckily, I’ve been through it all, and can help you to develop a plan of attack. The first part of the plan is to join programs in the right order. The money making programs come first, and the traffic programs later. If you follow through this guide doing what the guide says as you go, that’ll take care of itself.

I have three main tips: popup blockers, antivirus, and multiple email addresses.

You’ll be viewing a lot of websites through the paid to read programs. A web browser with an integrated popup blocker will keep you from having too many of the popup and pop-under windows clutter your screen. Having a good antivirus program is essential for surfing safely. Luckily, the antivirus that’s consistently highest rated is now available for free, at < a href="http://www.activevirusshield.com/">Active Virus Shield.

I recommend not signing up for the free money programs using your primary email address. While you won’t get an unreasonable number of emails, you will get quite a few. You could get as many as 10 to 20 emails a day from the various programs. Each email represents a chance to earn money by reading them, so more is better. But you may not want those emails mixed with your regular emails.

To get a new free email account that works very well for these programs, go to Gmail.com and click on “Sign up for Gmail” in the lower right corner of the page.

On the sign up form, provide your first and last name and your desired login name. Your email address will end up being your login name @gmail.com. So if you use a login name of inboxjohn, then your email address will be inboxjohn@gmail.com. You do not need to put in a secondary email, but if you don’t and you forget your password you will not be able to recover it.

After signing up you’ll be taken to your new email account, where you’ll see two messages from Google in your inbox. Play around with the system a bit to see how it all works.

So, you will want to create the following new email accounts using Gmail.

  1. One to join the programs
  2. One to use for Inbox Dollars offers
  3. One to use for Treasure Trooper offers
  4. One to use for Cash Crate offers
  5. One to use for any safelists you join

Note that when you’re working multiple sites, you’ll have the chance to take the same survey (or free trial) more than once. To get credit for taking it more than once, you need to clear cookies on your web browser and use a different email the second (and third, and fourth) time. So you may eventually want to create more email addresses for use in taking the same survey or free trial through another program.

This many email accounts can be confusing to manage. It’s important that you check the first email account regularly, since that’s the one that makes you money. The others are there mostly to catch the spam that will result from the surveys and free trial offers.

If you use the Firefox web browser, I highly recommend the Gmail Manager addon. It gives you a single menu where you can see how many unread email are in each account, and allows you to switch between accounts with a click. No more logging in and out of the email accounts.

If you don’t have Firefox, you can get it by clicking on the following button:

Now that we have our new email accounts ready, we can join the free money programs.
